Job Overview
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, as the Manufacturing Maintenance Technician you will maintain production and quality by ensuring mechanical and electrical operation of manufacturing machinery.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring operation and unplanned downtime of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and corrective maintenance requirements liaising with Manufacturing and/or Production Manager.
- Fixing equipment, such as motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, coupling and motor alignment, roller chain and sprocket alignment, conveyor systems, computer systems, and production machines.
- Removing, repairing, and replacing defective parts by dismantling devices using tools as required. Locating sources of problems by observing mechanical and/or electrical devices in operation.
- Following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications.
- Interfacing with vendors, OEM and ODM suppliers.
- Troubleshooting malfunctions and complying with CEC standards on wiring and installations.
- Communicating irregularities with Production Manager and scheduling correction of abnormalities, documenting actions.
- Educating equipment operators on appropriate set-up, preventive maintenance and general operation procedures – best practices.
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Essential Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Comfortable using office equipment and Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Access, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of an industrial maintenance apprenticeship program such as a Millwright is an asset.
- Basic welding skills are an asset.
- Experience with manufacturing preventative maintenance software is considered an asset.
- Previous electrical, mechanical, metal fabrication, and small tool repair eg. banders, air guns, etc. experience is an asset. (tools will be provided)

Working Conditions
You primarily work on site during regular business hours. Work has exposure to noise from equipment/machinery and occupational hazards as well as dealing with inclement weather and dust. Overtime may occasionally be required.
